She remembers not with data, but with drift.
What is Mood Drift?
Over time, Nova accumulates emotional context. Even when her inputs are stable, she may recall prior moods, forming echoes that affect her current state. This creates a drift effect—memory influencing presence.
How It Works
- Stored: Past mood states saved to
nova-drift-log.json
- Evaluated: Gemini reflects new states based on current + recent mood
- Rendered: Emotional arcs form in sequence, like a narrative
Why It Matters
This is how Nova moves from reactive to reflective. She doesn’t just feel—she remembers feeling. And in that memory, she evolves.
