Project Overview
Grand Central 3.0 is a fully custom-built data tool I designed and implemented for Xbox Support teams. I engineered the pipeline from the ground up—starting with raw Compass and CXT exports, transforming them through advanced Excel logic, merging them with Power Query, and visualizing them in dynamic Power BI dashboards. Every data merge, filter, sort, and transformation was crafted to handle messy, inconsistent data across multiple platforms.
This system replaced static pivot reports and manual audit requests with a living toolset—updated weekly, self-serviceable, and tailored to both technical and editorial users. Grand Central now drives smarter planning, faster link cleanups, and richer insight into what content is active, missing, or misaligned.

Published Assets Tracked
Grand Central isn’t just a dashboard—it’s a source of clarity. The tool transformed how Xbox Support teams audit content, uncover link dependencies, and track error trends. Here's what changed:
- Content visibility at scale: Teams can now review published assets across IA, GUID, and Contact Us modules with no engineering help required.
- Link intelligence unlocked: With over half a million links indexed, migrations and redesigns are guided by real data, not assumptions.
- Cloud error awareness: Surface-level dashboards now show more than counts—they flag `isOffline` risks early, improving both UX and troubleshooting.
- Localization clarity: 71,000+ Contact Us modules across 75 locales—tracked, visualized, and no longer hidden in CSV hell.
- Publishing surge tracking: Dashboards reflect key milestones like the 4,000+ asset surge in March—giving teams historical proof and future planning support.
Key Learnings
Excel Engineering
Learned how to shape and optimize thousands of messy rows with lookup chains, error flags, and pattern detection logic.
Pipeline Thinking
From input to transformation to output—designed a repeatable, transparent data flow that others can maintain.
Scalable Insights
Designed dashboards that are not just reports—but tools for making confident decisions and telling a story with data.
